Natalie McIntire – Biography

Natalie has been working as a policy advocate in the field of renewable energy for the last 10 years, first in her native state of Oregon, then consulting regionally and nationally since her family’s move to Viroqua in 2007.  Working to support renewable energy provides her a way to combine her technical background in engineering with her desire to work to protect the environment, and to live more and more sustainably on the earth.  She is pleased to join the Board of the VSN to help support this great organization working to protect our local environment.

Natalie, with her husband and son, moved to Viroqua from Portland, OR to “live in a nice small town”.  They had searched the country for several years before visiting Viroqua, and decided that this place, with its strong sense of community and good access to local and organic food, was the place to move.  Natalie and her family are working with a group in Viroqua to build an ecovillage focused on sustainability, cooperation, and stronger connections with others.

In her spare time, Natalie loves to be outdoors, hiking, canoeing, camping, and now fishing, her son’s greatest passion.
