The Valley Stewardship Network thanks its members, who provide 21% of our financing to cover our minimal operational expenses plus some program expenses. The rest of our programs and activities are funded through grants (63%), events (12%), fees for service (3%) and investment income (1%).
VSN has recently received the following grants:
- From Organic Valley Cooperative and the Wisconsin Citizen-Based Monitoring Network, for its water quality monitoring programs.
- From the Ceres Trust, to bring Dr. Sandra Steingraber, noted biologist and environmental author, to speak at the Kickapoo Country Fair on July 26th, 2009.
- From the Nuzum Foundation Kickapoo Valley Reforestation Fund, in conjunction with the City of Viroqua, for a karst features identification field day.
VSN operates efficiently on a lean budget, and we are always seeking ways to enhance our programs. Please consider becoming a member and donating your time or money to VSN.
