Over ten years ago VSN began its stewardship efforts testing the quality of rivers and streams in the Kickapoo River watershed. Today its citizen-based water quality monitoring program trains and collects data from dozens of volunteer water monitors at over 30 sites. In addition, VSN participates in special projects to assess water and habitat quality and teach landowners about the watershed.
