The Kickapoo River Valley lies within the Driftless Area of Southwestern Wisconsin, and consists of the entire area which empties into the Kickapoo River. Approximately 800 square miles, the watershed dances through parts of four counties: Crawford, Monroe, Richland, and Vernon.
