The Kickapoo River watershed encompasses approximately 3,500 streams and 7,500 stream miles. Some of the finest trout fishing in the nation can be found in these cold, spring-fed tributaries. Unfortunately, many Driftless area waterways are imperiled by agricultural runoff and unplanned development. VSN is committed to protecting these waterways through education, water quality monitoring, comprehensive planning, and responding to issues that threaten water quality.
